A spacious room with a Solarlux Combiline bi-folding door

Combiline Bi-Folding Door

The Solarlux Combiline bi-folding door seamlessly combines the best of both worlds with the warmth of a wood finish internally and the durability of an aluminium profile externally.

The Perfect Combination For A Weatherproof Solution

The Combiline’s 86mm frame depth enables this composite bi-folding door to be specified with either double or triple glazing. The doors feature a slender sight line of 143 mm at the panel joint even when using large and heavy panels. The narrow sightlines ensure maximum transparency when the door is closed, in keeping with your natural approach to living. Solarlux also a offer a fully timber bi-folding door, the Woodline, find out more here.

  • Bottom-running; minimal load support required in case of falls
  • Edged (R2) wooden panel frame profiles
  • Single-piece, multi-functional bionicTURTLE® break profile force-fitted flush into wood panel
  • The panels are manufactured with a form-fitted corner joint. A rounded collet fits exactly into the slot on the counter-piece, and an additional screw connection makes for an even sturdier panel joint.
  • Controlled drainage

  • Separate levels for runners and locks
  • Accessible and living-space & floor tracks also available
  • Built-in, concealed cable routing

Combiline Bi-folding Door Features

  • Slim sight line of 143 mm in panel joint

Sealing System

  • The seal encompasses two all-round sealing levels with constant gap sizes and even seal pressure between the panels
  • Sealing levels not interrupted by fittings
  • Sheathed foam seals with optimum sliding properties

Design Variants

  • Panels fold either inwards or outwards, to either left or right
  • Left and right sliding panel pairs also available
  • Floor track designs without rebates in compliance with German standard DIN 18040 on “Accessible construction”
  • Floor tracks available as minimal floor tracks without height offset

Fittings

  • No protruding running tracks or guide rails
  • Fittings with one-hand operation in the break profile built into the wooden beam
  • With optional built-in TwinX® concealed panel centring mechanism for high wind loads
  • System hinges also suitable for heavy panel weights
  • System adjustment mechanism built into sub-frame rebate, outside the sealing level
  • The specially shaped stainless-steel running track with tapered track roller allows the use of unguided carriages
  • Stainless steel track roller ball bearing runner mechanism: stainless steel track rollers and stainless steel bearing surfaces for quiet running and very long service life

What Our Clients Say

See All Testimonials

Mr Hewitt, United Kingdom

When ordering the windows, we made numerous changes along the way. They were very quick to update the order and help with questions along the way. Their installation team was good and were able to overcome a few quirks in our existing house. I was doing the following on decoration works after the windows were fitted. A couple of aspects made it difficult to finish up around the newly installed windows. Shims and metal plates were left in need of grinding back in order to get a plasterboard back up against the window internally. This was perhaps inevitable however, due to the old Victorian check reveals in the brickwork and some very out of square existing openings. On the whole we are very pleased.

Lars, Isle of Wight

Choosing Westcott as the installer for our VELFAC windows has been one of the best decisions in our whole build process. Always professional, with attention to detail, friendly, working to a very high standard and providing an outstanding customer service.

Kandy, Alton

Your communication was excellent and your team reliable and happy to go the extra mile to provide customer satisfaction. The windows look terrific and your team were very impressive. We do not hesitate in recommending Westcott Construction.
