Villa Aalto – VELFAC V200

Villa Aalto – VELFAC V200 stands proudly on the site of what was once home to a dated chalet bungalow. Just metres from the coast, in this sought-after Hampshire location, the original nondescript property had vast potential to be dramatically transformed.
Architect Carl Leroy Smith’s inspiration for the design of Villa Aalto was Finnish architect Alvar Aalto’s Villa Mairea – one of the most famous houses of the early 20th Century.
The houses features VELFAC V200 patio doors to both the ground and first floors with the latter opening on to a wrap-around balcony. The windows bring maximum light into living and dining areas, and into first floor bedrooms. Externally, the aluminium sashes are powder coated in anthracite grey. Internally the timber is painted “Pebble Grey” offering a warm feel to the frames.
The end result is an outstanding contemporary coastal home, beautifully designed and displaying striking architectural and construction expertise.
